BulletVPN has officially announced on its homepage that it will be discontinuing its VPN service, effective immediately. The good news is that users with existing subscriptions will be offered the option to receive 6 months of free access to Windscribe Pro as a replacement.
This isn’t the first time a VPN service has unexpectedly shut down. A similar incident happened before with WeVPN. Additionally, this isn’t the first time Windscribe, another VPN provider, has shown kindness by offering help to those affected, even though there is no indication of any partnership or affiliation between BulletVPN and Windscribe in any form.
Here is the official announcement from BulletVPN:
I think Windscribe’s recent action shows they truly care about users, particularly during challenging times, even if those users aren’t their direct customers. This is definitely worth recognizing and valuing.
If you currently own a BulletVPN subscription, you may feel limited in your choices. You can either forget your BulletVPN account or choose to explore the offer from Windscribe. Generally, Windscribe is considered a better VPN service than BulletVPN, in my opinion, in terms of quality and reputation.
Ultimately, the decision is yours.
